SEARS 572 May 7, 2005 Launch Report
The Southeast Alabama Rocketry Society held a launch on May 7th 2005 at Samson, AL.
Our feature event was Glider Gala. The goal was maximum duration for a glider on 18mm or smaller motors. John Hansel won the event on a Edmonds Deltie B. Keith Stewart was a close second with another Deltie shown below

John Hansel worked with Boy Scout Troop 302 from Panama City, FL on their Space Exploration Badge. He gave them a talks on rockets and assisted them is building the Estes "US Scout" Rocket at the Michaels store. The members of the troop that made it to the launch are shown below.

The scouts loaded their eight rockets for the mass launch. The launch pic is below. They did not stop there but reloaed their rockets for many more flights.

The High Power Flight of the Day was Chis Short's R.E.D Rockets Hornet on a K550 which made a perfect flight to 6202 ft.

The next launch is planned for June 4th 2005 in Samson, AL and the event is "Drag Race Challenge"
