SEARS 572 December 11, 2004 Launch Report

The Southeast Alabama Rocketry Society held a launch on December 11, 2004 at Headland, AL. The weather conditions had temps in low 40s and feels like 32-34 degrees. Winds were 15 to 20 mph. This was tough weather for flying and some attempts at high power flights resulted in lost rockets. There were 18 flyers with 51 flights total.

We had the "Tis the Season" Event. Keith Stewart and Greg Lane flew Santa Rockets.

This month we had the second hybrid motor launch by Kendall Brent. His rocket was a Firestorm 54.

The "High Power Flight of the Day" was by Chris Short with his 3in Red White and Blue Rocket with a J570 motor. The flight reached 4260 feet.

We had participation from the Pace TARC team flying rockets and providing food. Thanks for the hot chocolate. We also had participation by the Destin Middle School.

Hope to see all of you again at our next launch January 8th.
